Plan Adherence
Yes / (Yes + No)
The percentage of reviewed trades that followed your plan. Unknown is excluded, so an unclear or unwritten plan does not distort the result.
Free Excel trading journal
Record trades, review your decisions and measure whether you followed the plan. The workbook calculates Plan Adherence and Review Coverage automatically. No email gate.
More than a PnL spreadsheet
A high adherence score matters only when enough trades have actually been reviewed. This workbook keeps both numbers visible.
Empty Journal, automatic Summary, three fictional examples and a short Read me. Formulas cover up to 1,000 trade rows.

Choose Yes, No or Unknown in the Followed Plan column. The Summary sheet updates automatically as your journal grows.
Plan Adherence
Yes / (Yes + No)
The percentage of reviewed trades that followed your plan. Unknown is excluded, so an unclear or unwritten plan does not distort the result.
Review Coverage
Labeled trades / trades logged
The share of your journal labeled Yes, No or Unknown. It shows whether the adherence percentage rests on a meaningful review sample.
Example: 8 Yes, 2 No and 10 unreviewed trades produce 80% Plan Adherence but only 50% Review Coverage. The second number keeps the first one honest.
Inside the Journal
Keep the objective trade record beside the context needed to understand the decision. Filters and controlled dropdowns make repeated review faster and more consistent.
Date, account, symbol, side, open and close time, prices, size, fees and Net PnL.
Setup, execution quality, mistake, emotion and free-form notes.
Label every trade Yes, No or Unknown with a controlled dropdown.
Start simple, then scale
The template helps establish the review habit. TDLab becomes useful when manual tagging, cross-account analysis and repeated pattern detection start taking too much time.
