TDLab import resource
Custom CSV Trade Import Template
Prepare closed trade history with stable headers, predictable dates and clean numeric values, then import the file into TDLab using the Custom CSV profile.
Built for data import
This CSV is not the Excel journal. It contains execution data for TDLab; review fields are completed after import.
Blank CSV
One clean header row ready for your closed trades.
Filled example
Three fictional trades showing valid values and formats.
Core fields
The minimum useful trade record
Keep the header names unchanged. Symbol, direction and a valid close time are required to build a trade; opening time and PnL make the imported record useful for analysis.
SymbolMNQInstrument, ticker, pair or contract.
SideBuyUse Buy/Sell or Long/Short consistently.
OpenTime2026-07-14 09:35:00Recommended for duration and sequence analysis.
CloseTime2026-07-14 10:12:00Required. Use the same timezone throughout.
NetPnL78.38Positive for a win and negative for a loss.
Format rules
Keep the CSV predictable
Keep one trade per row and do not add title rows above the headers.
Use one date format throughout. YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss is the least ambiguous choice.
Use a decimal point and do not add currency symbols to numeric cells.
Keep every timestamp in one timezone, then select that timezone during import.
Use positive PnL for wins and a leading minus sign for losses.
If NetPnL includes costs, leave Fees, Commission and Swap empty to avoid double counting.
