Welcome to TDLab: the discipline loop

Updated Jul 8, 20264 min read

TDLab is a behavioral analytics and journaling tool for traders. It imports your real trades, helps you review them the same way every time, and measures whether you follow your own plan — instead of relying on memory or motivation.

The short version

Import your trades, review them, watch your Discipline Score, then test corrective rules on your real history in the Simulator and promote the ones that work to your Playbook.

The discipline loop

Everything in TDLab is organized around one loop you repeat over time:

  1. Bring in your trades. Add a trading account, then import from a file or connect a broker for auto-sync.
  2. Journal and review. Use the Daily Journal for context and Trade Review to tag setups, discipline mistakes, execution quality and whether you followed your plan.
  3. Measure discipline. The Dashboard and Analytics surface your Discipline Score and where your behavior is costing you.
  4. Test and enforce rules. Use the Simulator to test what-if rules on your real history, then promote the ones that help to your Playbook, where new trades are scored against them.

Where to start

Head to Trading Accounts to create your first account, then open Add trades to import your history. Once you have trades in, the Dashboard becomes your home base.

Note on plans

Some features are tied to a plan. The Playbook and weekly review email require Pro or higher, and the AI Analyst plus live market data on Trade Review require the Analyst plan. Each guide notes when a feature needs a specific plan.
