Using the Trade Journal

Updated Jul 8, 20264 min read

The Trade Journal is the table of every trade on the account you have in scope. A summary strip at the top shows Trades, Gross P/L, Win Rate, W/L and Fees, and updates as you filter.

Filtering and searching

  • Quick range plus Date from / Date to to narrow the period.
  • Search across all fields.
  • Side (All / BUY / SELL), Setup and Tag multi-select filters.
  • Reset to clear everything.

Columns

Use the Columns dropdown to show or hide Ticket, Symbol, Side, Size, Open/Close time, PnL, Fees, Images, News, Setup, Tags and Note. Your column and filter layout is remembered per account.

Merging partial fills

If a single idea was filled in several trades, merge them into one row:

  1. Select two or more trades (same account, symbol and side).
  2. Click Merge and confirm.

The merged row aggregates size, PnL and fees and carries its own review fields. You can Unmerge from the row actions later.

Adding a trade manually

With a single account in scope, use Add Trades → Manual. The form captures Ticket (optional), Symbol, Side, Size, Open time (optional), Close time, PnL, Fees, linked News and a Note. Behavioral fields like setup, emotions and mistakes are added later in Trade Review.

Multi-account view is read-only

Selecting more than one account shows an aggregated, read-only journal. Switch to a single account to add, import, merge or bulk-delete trades.

Plan limit

Adding or importing trades is unlimited during the 7-day Pro trial and on paid Pro or Analyst. After the trial, limited free access keeps your existing trades visible but blocks new imports until you upgrade. Image uploads count against your storage quota.
