Understanding Behavior Score and Process Score

TDLab deliberately uses two scores. Behavior Score measures objective adherence to decisions made before trading. Process Score measures how consistently you maintain the review and execution process. Combining them would let better form hide worse behavior, or vice versa.

Behavior Score

Behavior Score becomes measurable when TDLab has an objective prior commitment to compare with what happened. That means at least one active Account Rule or a session commitment declared before trading.

• Account Rules adherence: whether applicable trades respected active rules.
• Session commitments: whether activity respected the account-specific limits declared before the session.

A displayed zero means measurable commitments existed and none were satisfied in the window. Not enough data means there was no objective fact available to score; it is not the same result.

Process Score

Process Score measures maintenance of the method, including fields you complete during or after review. Its components are kept visible so the total can always be explained.

• Journal on losing days — whether losing trading days also received a Daily Journal entry.
• Sessions declared — coverage of pre-session commitments across trading days.
• Checklist executed — coverage of the account Account Rules checklist in reviewed trades.
• Plan followed — share of reviewed trades marked as having followed the trading plan.
• Trades reviewed — review coverage in the period.
• Execution quality and mistake-free trades — the declared quality rating and absence of tagged discipline mistakes.

How to read the two scores

A trader can keep an excellent journal while repeatedly violating a rule. Process would improve, Behavior would not. Another trader can respect a rule while leaving reviews incomplete. Behavior may improve, while Process exposes the missing maintenance.
